Please Ask for help if you need it
I don't normal write things like this on my blog, but after what happen yesterday, I thought I should. As some of you mght know a friend committed suicide last night. I won't go into details, seeing how that is a very personal and sensitive subject.
I said this last night on Facebook, but: If it seems like there is no way out, there is. If it seems like no one cares, they do care. If you feeling like you need to end it all, please talk to a family, friend, or someone. Please... Things will get better, I promise.

How does a Geeky Online Book Club sound to you?
While I was at work, I came up with an idea: Why not start an online book club?There is probably ones out the already, but I wanted to start one of my own. I don't have many ideas/plans for it yet. This post is just to put out the idea, and to see how many people would like to participate. Let me know either through comments here, or via Facebook or Twitter. #MakingPeopleSmileOneTweetAtATime Challenge
Well I am pretty sure everyone will agree with me when I say that this week was a pretty bad week, so I thought it would be nice to spread some joy and humor across Twitter. I came up with the Hash-tag "#MakingPeopleSmileOneTweetAtATime" , that I used on tweets that I am pretty sure will get at least one person smiling or even laughing. My challenge is I want you guys to post at least 5 tweets that will make people smile each day. It won't solve all the world problems (( That would be awesome though)), but it could make some one, who has been having a bad day, feel a little better, which is always a good thing. You don't have to use the hash-tag, it's pretty long, but do try to post Smile-worthy tweets as often as you can. The ABCs Of Doctor Who- A Photo Challenge
Today I started a impromptu Doctor Who Photo Challenge. Each day for the next 26 days I am going to find something Whovian for each letter of the Alphabet. I hope you guys join in! :) **Update** You can get your pictures from any form of Doctor Who media including the spin-offs ((I.E Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Etc)) **Update #2**: You can used "Real Life" for the subject, such as actors/actress names, Story/Episode names, Show Runners, Directors, Writers, Composers, Etc Etc Etc. **Sigh** Maybe I should actually plan things BEFORE I start them..... Happy Birthday Christopher Eccleston
Join me in wishing Christopher Eccleston a very Happy Birthday. He turns 49 today! Everyone, of course, will know him as the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who. He also was in G.I Joe: Rise of Cobra, he played McCullen/Destro. He was also John Lennon in Lennon Naked. He is going to be in the upcoming Thor movie: Thor: The Dark World. Sad News: The passing of Bernard Horsfall
Two days ago, The Doctor Who universe lost another dear family member. Mr. Bernard Horsfall died at the aged of 82. He was in four Doctor Who televised stories. First he played Gulliver in one of my all time favorite 2nd Doctor stories: The Mind Robber. Then he played one of the Time lords that made the 2nd Doctor regenerate in the last episode of The War Games. Then he played the character Taron in the 3rd Doctor's story Planet of the Daleks. Last but not least he played Chancellor Goth in the 4th Doctor's story The Deadly Assassin . He also was in the Big Finish Audio story Davros He was also in the Granada's version of The Hound of the Baskervilles, a Sherlock Holmes story. He played Mr. Frankland. He also was in one of my favorite movies, Braveheart. He played Balliol My heart goes out to his family and close friends during this difficult time.

Happy Birthday DeForest Kelley!
I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to the late DeForest Kelley. He would have been 93 today (( January 20th 1920)). He died June 11th 1999 ((79)) due to stomach cancer. Many of you will know him as Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy on Star Trek: The Original Series, my favorite character of the show. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten!

I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to the wonderful Thomas "Tom" Baker! He turns 79 today (( January 20th 1934)). Here is to many more birthdays to come! :) My fellow Whovians know him as the 4th Doctor on Doctor Who . He played the Doctor for the longest so far. Also for my Sherlockians, he played Sherlock Holmes in a 1982 miniseries "The Hound of the Baskervilles."

Book Recommendation : The Atlas Of Middle-Earth by. Karen Wynn Fonstad
As you may, or may not, know I am a Tolkien fan girl, and when I'm a fan of anything I try to find anything and everything about that subject. Now my family is quite aware of that fact, so for my 13th Christmas, I received a book called The Atlas of Middle-Earth written by Karen Wynn Fonstad.
It's a lovely reference book of Middle Earth. It starts off giving a nice history and a geographic descriptions of the different regions of the First Age, Second Age, and the Third Age.
Next, Karen goes into detail about the journeys in The Hobbit and in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which, of course, includes maps (of key dwellings as well as the land), and timelines. She even puts in maps detailing the battles.
The last section of the book is an " attempt... to trace individually the patterns of five important elements that Tolkien included in his world..." (( TAoME Pg. 179)). The five elements are : Landforms, Climate,Vegetation, Population, and Language. There is even a neat little graph of the "Evolution of Languages"
There is other great aspects of this book, but I didn't want to go into detail, because you need to buy it! :) So if you like maps, or just learning more about the wonderful world that Tolkien created for us, I really recommended this book!

As you might be able to guess it is a website dedicted to videos and pictures of The men and Women of the United States ((and occasionally other countries)) military returning home and surprising their family and friends. I really suggest you grab some tissues before you start watching these videos.
