Please Ask for help if you need it

I don't normal write things like this on my blog, but after what happen yesterday, I thought I should. As some of you mght know a friend committed suicide last night. I won't go into details, seeing how that is a very personal and sensitive subject.
I said this last night on Facebook, but: If it seems like there is no way out, there is. If it seems like no one cares, they do care. If you feeling like you need to end it all, please talk to a family, friend, or someone. Please... Things will get better, I promise.

How does a Geeky Online Book Club sound to you?

While I was at work, I came up with an idea: Why not start an online book club? There is probably ones out the already, but I wanted to start one of my own. I don't have many ideas/plans for it yet. This post is just to put out the idea, and to see how many people would like to participate.  Let me know either through comments here, or via Facebook or Twitter. Also if you have any ideas/suggestions let me know as well! If I get enough people (( Or even just one person at first, lol)) we can figure the details later. :-)

Firefly On Twitter

I am pretty sure that most of you will agree with me that Firefly is fantastic show.... with one major flaw: It was too short, but this post isn't about complaining about that. Nope, it is a list of all the actors who were on Firefly that have twitter accounts. As always if I have missed anyone kindly let me know!
** Summer Glau (( River Tam)) has a twitter account but there are zero tweets.
I am sure there are more,  this is just the Main cast and recurring cast... I will look for more when I can and of course if you know of any let me know! :-)

#MakingPeopleSmileOneTweetAtATime Challenge

Well I am pretty sure everyone will agree with me when I say that this week was a pretty bad week, so  I thought it would be nice to spread some joy and humor across Twitter.  I came up with the Hash-tag  "#MakingPeopleSmileOneTweetAtATime" , that I used on tweets that I am pretty sure will get at least one person smiling or even laughing.  My challenge is I want you guys to post at least 5 tweets that will make people smile each day. It won't solve all the world problems (( That would be awesome though)), but it could make some one, who has been having a bad day, feel a little better, which is always a good thing. You don't have to use the hash-tag, it's pretty long, but do try to post  Smile-worthy tweets as often as you can. If you do use the hashTag I may feature some of the tweets  in a blog post, and if you have Smile-worthy story too lengthy for Twitter send me an e-mail ((PM me on twitter if you don't have my e-mail so I can send you my email)) or  a comment here and I will also feature that.
I am also doing this in honor for all the victims of the Boston Bombing.  So what do you guys think about this?

Sad News: the Passing of Richard Griffiths

The Late Richard Griffiths  (( July 31st 1947- March 28 2013))
Today we learned that we lost the wonderful  Richard Griffiths  due to complications following heart surgery yesterday, Thursday March 28th 2013. He was 65.  He is properly best known for as Uncle Vernon Dursley from the Harry Potter movies, and Uncle Monty from the movie Withnail & I. He also played Jeltz in the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Also with  some sad serendipity I was watching  Sleepy Hollow  last night in which he played  Magistrate Philipse.  It may seem silly but when ever I hear of a death of an actor I like, I feel like I had lost a dear friend. R.I.P Mr. Richard Griffiths, you will never be forgotten. My heart goes out to his Family, friends and fans though these tough times.

Book Recommendation : The Atlas Of Middle-Earth by. Karen Wynn Fonstad

As you may, or may not, know I am a Tolkien fan girl, and when I'm a fan of anything I try to find anything and everything about that subject. Now my family is quite aware of that fact, so for my 13th Christmas, I received  a book called The Atlas of Middle-Earth written by Karen Wynn Fonstad.
It's a lovely reference book of Middle Earth. It starts off giving a nice history and a geographic descriptions of the different regions of the First Age, Second Age, and the Third Age.
Next, Karen  goes into detail about the journeys in  The Hobbit and  in  The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which, of course, includes maps (of key dwellings as well as the land), and timelines. She even puts in maps detailing the battles.
The last section of the book is  an " attempt... to trace individually the patterns of five important elements that Tolkien included in his world..." (( TAoME Pg. 179)). The five elements are : Landforms, Climate,Vegetation, Population, and Language. There is even a neat little graph of  the "Evolution of Languages"
There is other great aspects of this book, but I didn't want to go into detail, because you need to buy it! :)   So if you like maps, or just learning more about the wonderful world that Tolkien created for us, I really recommended this book!

Here is the cover of my copy of the book!
